Do you charge Non-Skaters?
Non-Skaters pay a low $3 entrance fee at most Open All Skate Sessions.
Teen Night: All guests pay Skater Admission fee. Non-Skating Parents accompanying a teen pay $3.
Adult Nights: All guests pay Skater Admission fee.
If my friends are coming to skate, do I need to pay if I’m only going to hang out?
Everyone entering must pay the applicable admission and skate rental fee.
Do you offer group rates?
Yes! Groups of 12 or more save $1 on admission. It is not available on Wednesday nights.
Do you sell food?
Yes! Perky’s Pizza Kitchen offers a wide selection of menu items including handmade Pizza, Hot Dogs, Chicken Strips, French Fries, Salads, Pretzels, Nachos, & Churros as well as Coca-Cola products, ICEES, Torani drinks, and Smoothies! We also have delicious Carvel Ice Cream Birthday Cakes available for purchase.
May I bring in food from the outside?
Skateland does not permit any outside food/drinks. Please see answer above.
Do you have any Kosher food?
Yes! We offer Hebrew National hot dogs and Carvel ice cream cakes.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes, at the Skate Shop! They can be purchased Monday thru Friday from 10am – 6pm or during any of our open all skate times.
Will you donate something to my child’s school auction?
Yes! Skateland is happy to donate products/services to non-profits. Please send a written request on organization letterhead stating the name and date of the event and the nature of your request with our Donation Request Form (can be downloaded from our Community Involvement Page), and a self-addressed, stamped business size envelope. Please send it at least 60 days before your event, but not more than 90 days. Kindly send request to Skateland at 18140 Parthenia St., Northridge, CA 91325, Attn: Donations Department.
Does Skateland do cash sponsorships?
Yes! Any non-profit is eligible to do a fundraiser with us. We donate up to 50% of the proceeds back to your organization.
Can I use my laptop and go online at Skateland?
Yes, we have FREE wireless internet.
Do you take requests for songs?
Yes, we have a music library with over 7,000 songs. Our DJ will make every effort to get your favorite song on! (Please note: not all music is appropriate for all open all skate times. If you ask the DJ, he or she will tell you if we can play a song.)
What do you play on the Giant Video Screens?
During open all skate times, we play music videos, movie clips, special effect videos, and ambient images. During Exclusive Events, we play anything you’d like:video montage, wedding video, corporate training video as well as music videos, movies, and more!
What else can you do at Skateland besides roller skate?
Play one of our exciting video games, challenging redemption games, or test your speed and precision in our NEW Lazer Maze.
Can I rent Skateland privately?
Yes! We offer Exclusive Events on select days of the week.
How far in advance do I need to make party reservations?
As a rule of thumb, Open Events should be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance and Shared and Exclusive Events require at least 30 days to as much as 6 months.
What forms of payments do you allow?
Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Do you have an ATM?
Yes. It is located inside our building.
Can I pay with a check?
Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.
What size skates do you rent?
From juvenile size 9 to adult size 15.
Can I bring my own skates?
Yes. We allow all kinds of regular roller skates and inline skates.
Can I wear my Heelys?
Sorry, because Heelys do not have wheels in the front and back and are not intended for “roller skating” they are not permitted.
Do you sell skates and equipment?
Yes! The Skate Shop is loaded with the latest skates, candy, novelty toys, and glow products.
What goes on during Open All Skate Times?
Most open all skate times are set-up with a variety of special skates: All-Skate, Backwards, Couples. During daytime and family-oriented open all skate times, we also do the Hokey Pokey, play games and giveaway prizes.
If my child doesn’t skate well, can I walk on the floor to assist him/her?
During open all skate times, we only allow guests with skates on to enter the skating floor. We also rent Skate Mates that beginning skaters can use to help them gain their balance. Skate Mates are available for rental at the Skate Shop.
Where can I get skating lessons for myself or my child?
Right here at Skateland. We have world class coaches. Group learn to skate classes are available as well as private instruction.
If II win tickets on a redemption game, but don’t have enough tickets for the prize I want, what can I do?
You can pay the difference and get the prize you want.
One ticket = One Penny.
Do the games take quarters or tokens?
Tokens. They are available from the token machines or at the Skate Shop.
