Admissions
Do you charge for parents to watch?
NEVER on regular skating sessions. We're happy you are here! NOTE: Occasionally charitable organizations that host fundraisers at Skateland will charge every person (adult or child) that is admitted.
   
If my friends are coming to skate, do I need to pay if I'm only going to hang out?
Everyone entering (with the exception of parents watching their children) must pay the applicable admission and skate rental fee.
   
Q: Do you offer group rates?
A: Yes! Groups of 10-19 save $1 on admission; groups of 20 or more save $2 on admission.
 
Skates
What size skates do you rent?
From juvenile size 8 to adult size 14.
   
Can I bring my own skates?
Yes. We allow all kinds of regular roller skates and inline skates.
   
Can I wear my Heelys?
Sorry, because Heelys do not have wheels in the front and back and are not intended for "roller skating" they are not permitted.
   
Do you sell skates and equipment?
Yes! The Shop is loaded with the latest skates, candy, novelty toys and glow products.
 
Skating
What goes on at a public skating session?
Most sessions are set-up with a variety of special skates: All-Skate, Backwards, Couples. During daytime or family-oriented sessions we also do the Hokey Pokey, play games and give prizes.
   
If my child doesn't skate well, can I walk on the floor to assist him/her?
During public skating sessions we only allow guests with skates on to enter the skating floor.
   
Where can I get lessons for my child?
Right here at Skateland. We have world class coaches. Group classes are available as well as private instruction.
 
Payment
What forms of payment do you allow?
Cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover
   
Do you have an ATM?
Yes. It is located inside our building.
   
Can I pay with a check?
Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.
 
Parties
Can I rent Skateland privately?
Yes! We offer private events on select days of the week.
   
How far in advance do I need to make party reservations?
As a rule of thumb, Session Parties should be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance and Split and Exclusive Parties require at least 30 days to as much as 6 months.
 
Food
Do you sell food?
Yes! Perky's Pizza Kitchen offers handmade Pizza + Hot Dogs, Pretzels, Nachos & Churros. We also offer Pepsi products and ICEES.
   
Can I bring in food from the outside?
The only outside food/drinks we allow during our open skating session is a birthday cake.
   
Do you have any Kosher food?
Yes! We offer Hebrew National hot dogs and Carvel ice cream cakes.
 
Miscellaneous
Do you sell Gift Certificates.
Yes. They can be purchased anytime the office is open or during public sessions.
   
Will you donate something to my child's school auction?
Yes! Skateland is happy to donate products/services to non-profits. Please send a written request on organization letterhead stating the name and date of the event and the nature of your request. The courtesy of 3 months notice is kindly requested. Send request to Skateland at 18140 Parthenia St., Northridge, CA 91325, Attn: Donations Department
   
Does Skateland do cash sponsorships?
Yes! Any non-profit is eligible to do a fundraiser with us. We donate up to 50% of the proceeds back to your organization.
Can I use my laptop and go online at Skateland?
Yes, we have wireless internet.
 
Music / Entertainment
Do you take requests for songs?
Yes. Our DJ will make every effort to get your favorite song on! (Please note: not all music is appropriate for all sessions. If you ask the DJ, he or she will tell you if we can play a song.)
   
What do you play on the new Giant Video Screens?
During open public skating sessions we play music videos, movie clips, and special effect videos.  During Exclusive Parties, we play anything you'd like: video montage, wedding video, corporate training video as well as music videos and more!
   
What else can you do at Skateland besides roller skate?
Play one of our exciting video games, challenging redemption games, or climb our new moving rock wall.
 
Video / Redemption Games
If I win tickets on a redemption game, but don't have enough tickets for the prize I want, what can I do?
You can pay the difference and get the prize you want.
One ticket = One Penny.
   
Do the games take quarters or tokens?
Tokens. They are available in the Token Machine or at the Prize Counter.
